Jamrat
, at which the stones are thrown stand close to the Khif
Mosque at the borders of Mina.
7. Slaughtering the 'sacrifice' (whether it is a sheep or goat or any
other acceptable animal) takes place at Mina following the
throwing of the stones at
Jamrat al-'Aqaba
. Slaughtering (or
sacrificing) is done by those who are required to do it or who
volunteer to do so.
8. Laying off the special dress and ending the state of
ihram
takes place on the tenth day and after the sacrifice of the animal.
This is done by cutting off some of the hair from the head of the
pilgrim-man or woman.
9. Those pilgrims who are in a hurry to leave spend the nights of
the eleventh and twelfth days of the month at Mina. Those who
can stay spend also that of the thirteenth.
10. The Hajj is completed by the
ifada
circling of the Ka'ba
seven times. According to some legal schools the circling has, in
the case of pilgrims who combine between the pilgrimage proper
and the visitation (
'umra
), to be followed by running between
Safa and Marwa.
The Farewell circling of the Ka'ba is performed as a greeting by
the pilgrims upon leaving Makkah.
11. Marriage
Those who are able to shoulder the responsibilities of marriage
are urged by God to get married. Marriage is entered into by a
contract of offer and acceptance drawn by the mutual consent of
