loathe it. Have fear ofAllah. He is Forgiving andMerciful.
Men, We have created you from a male and a female, and made you
into nations and tribes that you might get to know one another. The
noblest of you in Allah's sight is the most righteous of you. Allah is
Wise andAll—knowing.
The Arabs of the desert declare: 'We believe.' Say: 'You do not.'
Rather say: 'We profess Islam,' for faith has not yet found its way into
your hearts. If you obey Allah and His Apostle, He will not diminish a
thing from (the rewards) of your labours. Allah is Forgiving and
Merciful.
The true believers are those who have faith in Allah and His
Apostle and never doubt; and who fight for His cause with their wealth
and persons. Such are the truthful ones.
Say: 'Would you tell Allah of your religion, when Allah knows
what the heavens and the earth contain? He has knowledge of all
things.’
They regard it as a favour to you that they embraced Islam. Say: 'In
accepting Islam you have conferred on me no favour. It wasAllah who
bestowed a favour on you in guiding you to the true faith. Admit this, if
you are men of truth. Allah knows all that is hidden in the heavens and
the earth. He is watching over all your actions. '
