each have our appointed place. We are verily those who range
themselves in ranks (to serve Him). And we are verily those who
glorifyHim.'
Some used to say: 'Had we received an admonition from the
ancients, we would have become true servants ofAllah.' Yet they now
disbelieve (in the Quran). They shall before long know.
Long ago We promised the apostles who served Us that they
would receive Our help and that Our armies would be victorious. So
turn away from them for a while.Watch themand they shall see.
Do they wish to hasten Our punishment? When it descends upon
their courtyards, evil will be themorning of those forewarned.
So turn away from them for a while. And watch them, and they
shall see. Exalted be your Lord, the Lord of glory and power, above
what they ascribe (toHim).
Peace be on the apostles. And praise be to Allah, Lord of the
Worlds.

ad. By the Quran, full of admonition. Verily the unbelievers
are (steeped) in false pride and opposition.
How many generations We have destroyed before them. They
all cried out (for mercy), when it was too late to escape.
