‘Gather together the wrongdoers, their wives, and the things which
they worshipped besides Allah, and lead them to the path of Hell.
Keep them there for questioning.' (A voice will then say to the
wrongdoers): 'But what has come over you that you cannot help one
another? '
On that day they will all submit toAllah. They will reproach each
other, saying: 'You used to come to us from the right hand (swearing
that you speak the truth).' They answer: ‘No! It was you who would
not be believers.We had no power over you: you are sinners all. Just is
the verdict which Our Lord has passed upon us; we shall surely taste
His punishment. We misled you, (but) we ourselves have been
misled.'
On that day they will all share Our punishment. ThusWe shall deal
with the devil-doers. For when it was said to them: 'There is no god but
Allah,' they got arrogant and said: 'Are we to renounce our gods for the
sake of amad poet? '
Surely he has brought the truth, confirming those who were sent
before him. You shall all taste the painful punishment: you shall be
rewarded according to your deeds.
But (to) the true servants of Allah there is a fixed sustenance:
fruits. And they are honoured in the Gardens of Delight. Reclining
face to face upon soft couches, they shall be served with a goblet filled
at a gushing fountain, white, and delicious to those who drink it. It
deprives not of reason, nor will they be intoxicated by it. Besides them
will be those with modest gaze and large lovely eyes, (as chaste)
