ingratitude: doWe punish any but the ungrateful?
Between them and the cities that We have blessed, We placed
towns easy to be seen, and made travel therein in convenient stages.
(We said): 'Travel through themby day and night in safety.'
But they said: 'Lord, make the stages between Our journeys
longer.' They wronged themselves; so We made them a byword and
scattered them throughout the land. Surely there is a sign in this for
every steadfast, thankful man.
Satan had judged them rightly; they followed him all, except for a
band of true believers. Yet he had no power over them except that We
would knowwho believed in the life to come fromhimwho is in doubt
about it.Your Lordwatches over all things.
Say: 'Call on those whom you claim to be besides Allah. They do
not control an atom’s weight in heaven or earth, nor have they any
share in either. Nor hasAllah any helpers among them.'
No intercession withAllah avails except for himwho has received
His sanction. When fear is banished from their hearts, they shall ask
each other: 'What has your Lord ordained?' 'The truth,' they shall
answer. 'He is theMost High, the Supreme One.'
Say: 'Who provides for you fromheaven and earth?'
Say: 'Allah. It is certain that we or you are rightly guided or are in
evident
error.’
Say: 'You are not accountable for our sins, nor are we accountable
for your actions.’
