Allah shall be helped by Him.Allah is truly Powerful andMighty: (He
will assuredly help) those who, Once made masters in the lands, will
attend to their prayers and pay the alms-tax, enjoin justice and forbid
evil.Allah controls the destiny of all things.
If they deny you, (remember that) before them the peoples of Nuh,
Ibrahim and Lut, the tribes of Thamoud and Aad. and the dwellers of
Madian had denied (their apostles), Musa was also rejected. I bore
long with the unbelievers and in the end My scourge overtook them.
And how terribleMy utter rejectionwas!
How many a town have We destroyed while it was sinful, so that it
lies in ruins, and howmany a desertedwell and lofty palace!
Have they never journeyed through the land so that they may have
hearts to reason with, or ears to hear with? It is not the eyes, but the
hearts in the breasts, that are blind.
They bid you hasten the punishment. God will not break His
promise. Each day with your Lord is like a thousand years in your
reckoning.
And how many a town which was sinful have We given respite!
Then I seized it. ToMe shall all things return.
Say; 'Omen, I have been sent to warn you plainly. Those that accept
the true faith and do good works shall be forgiven and richly
rewarded; but those who seek to confute Our revelations shall be the
people of Hell.'
Never haveWe sent a single prophet or apostle before you, but when
he desired (recited), Satan tamperedwith his desire (recitation).
