man shall in the least be wronged. Actions as small as a grain of
mustard seedWe will bring (to be weighed out).And sufficient areWe
as reckoners.
We showed Musa and Harun the criterion (to distinguish between
right and wrong), and gave them a light and a message for the
righteous: those who fear their Lord in secret and dread the tenors of
Judgement-day.
And this is a blessed Message which We have revealed. Will you
then reject it.
We bestowed on Ibrahim his rectitude before, for We knew him
well. He said to his father and to his peoples: 'What are these statues to
which you are so devoted?'
They replied: 'We found our fathers worshipping them.'
He said: 'Then you and your fathers were in the grossest error.'
'Is it the truth you have brought us,' they asked, 'or is this but a jest? '
Nay,' he answered, 'your Lord is the Lord of the heavens and the
earth. It was He who made them: to this I bear witness. By the Lord, I
will certainly plot against your idols as soon as you have turned your
backs and gone.'
He broke them all in pieces, except their supreme god, so that they
might return toHim.
'Who has done this to our deities?' asked some. 'He must surely be a
wickedman.’
Others replied: 'We have heard a youth called Ibrahim speak of
them.’
