These are the verses of the Book which clearly
indicates (right andwrong).
The day will surely come when those who disbelieve will
wish that they were Muslims. Let them feast and make merry; and let
their hopes beguile them. They shall know.
Never have We destroyed a nation whose term of life was not
ordained beforehand. No people can forestall their doom, nor can they
retard it.
They say: 'You to whom the warning was revealed, you are surely
mad. Bring down the angels, if what you say be true.'
We do not send angels except with the truth. Then they shall have no
respite.
It wasWe who revealed the Quran, andWe will certainly preserve it.
We have sent forth before you (apostles) among the older sects. But
there came to them no apostle but was mocked. Thus We make it enter
the hearts of the guilty. They do not believe in him (despite) the
example of the ancients.
If We opened for the unbelievers a gate in the heavens and they kept
ascending through it, still they would say: 'Our eyes were dazzled:
truly, wemust have been bewitched people.'
We have put constellations in the heavens and made them look nice
to the beholders, and guarded them from every accursed devil. But he
who listens by stealth is pursued by a visible flame.
We have spread out the earth and set upon it immovable mountains.
We have caused to grow in it from every ordained thing; and we have
