fast two consecutive months. Such is the penance imposed by Allah:
He is Knowing,Wise.
He that kills a believer by design shall burn in Hell for ever. He shall
incur the wrath ofAllah, who will lay His curse on him and prepare for
hima woeful scourge.
O believers, show discernment when you go out to fight for the cause
of Allah, and do not say to those that offer you peace: 'You are not
believers,' - seeking the accidental goods of this world; for with Allah
there are abundant gains. Such was your custom in days gone by, but
now Allah has bestowed on you His grace. Therefore show
discernment; forAllah is cognizant of what you do.
The believers who stay at home - apart from those that suffer from a
grave impediment - are not equal to those who fight for the cause of
Allah with their fortunes and their persons. Allah has given those that
fight with their fortunes and their persons a higher rank than those who
stay at home. He has promised all a good reward; but far richer is the
recompense of those who fight for Him: degrees of honour,
forgiveness, andmercy.Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.
Unto those whom the angles cause to die, having been unjust to
themselves, the angles will say: 'What were you doing?' 'We were
oppressed in our land,' they will reply. The angels will say: 'Was not the
earth of Allah spacious enough for you to find refuge therein?' Hell
shall be their home: an evil fate. Unlike those are the helpless men,
women, and children who have neither the strength nor the means to
escape. ThoseAllahmay pardon them: He is Pardoning, Forgiving.
