faith and do good works, they shall be given their reward in full. Allah
does not love the evil-doers.'
That (which) We recite to you is revelation and wise admonition. Isa
is like Adam in the sight of Allah. He created him (Adam) of dust and
then said to him: 'Be', and he was.
This is the truth from your Lord: therefore, do not doubt it. To those
that dispute with you concerning Isa after the knowledge you have
received, say: 'Come, let us gather our sons and your sons, our wives
and your wives, our people and your people. We will pray together and
call down the curse ofAllah on every liar.'
This is the true account. There is no god but Allah. It is Allah who is
theMighty, theWise.
If they give no heed to you,Allah knows the evil-doers.
Say: 'People of the Book, let us come to an equitable agreement
among us that we will worship none but Allah, that we will associate
none with Him, and that we will not set up one another lords besides
Him.'
If they refuse, say: 'Bear witness that we areMuslims.'
People of the Book, why do you argue about Ibrahim when both the
Torah and the Gospel were not revealed till after him? Have you no
sense?
Indeed, you have argued about things of which you have some
knowledge. Must you now argue about that of which you knownothing
at all?Allah knows but you do not.
Ibrahim was neither Jew nor Christian. He was an upright man, one
