52:22
On that day they shall be sternly shoved into the fire of Hell with
violence, (and a voice will say to them): 'This is the fire which you
denied. Is this magic, or do you not see? Burn in its flames. It is alike
whether you are patient or impatient. You shall be rewarded according
to your deeds.'
But in fair gardens the righteous shall dwell in bliss, rejoicing in
what their Lord will give them. He will shield them from the scourge of
Hell.(He will say): 'Eat and drink in joy because of your (good) deeds.'
They shall recline on couches ranged in rows. To houris with large
and lustrous eyesWe shall wed them.
Those who believe and are followed in faith by their descendants,
We cause their descendants to join them. And We deprive them of
nothing of their work. Every individuals is pledged for what he does.
We shall give them fruits and meat as they desire. They will pass
from hand to hand a cup inspiring no idle talk, no sinful urge; and there
shall wait on themyoung boys of their own as fair as hidden pearls.And
theywill converse with one another.
'When we were living among our kinsfolk,' they will say, 'we were
troubled by many fears. But Allah has been gracious to us and has
preserved us from the scourge of Hell. Truly we have prayed to Him.
He is the Beneficent One, theMerciful.'
Therefore, give warning. By the grace of Allah, you are neither a
soothsayer nor amadman.
Do they say: 'He is a poet: we are waiting for some misfortune to
befall him'? Say: 'Wait if youwill; I too amwaiting.'
Does their reason prompt them to say this? Or is it merely that they
