sight a great triumph, and that He may punish the hypocrites and the
idolaters, men and women, who think evil thoughts concerning Allah.
A turn of evil shall befall them, and Allah's wrath is on them. He has
laid on them His curse and prepared for them the fire of Hell: an evil
fate.
Allah's are the forces of the heavens and the earth. Allah is Mighty
andWise.

We have sent you forth as a witness and as a bearer of good news
and warnings, so that you may have faith in Allah and His apostle and
that you may assist Him, honour Him, and praise Him, morning and
evening.
Those that swear fealty to you swear fealty to Allah Himself. The
Hand of Allah is above their hands. He that breaks his oath breaks it at
his own peril, but he that keeps his pledge to Allah shall be richly
rewarded.
The desert Arabs who stayed behind will say to you: 'We were
occupied with our goods and families. Implore Allah to pardon us.'
Theywill saywith their tongues what they do not mean in their hearts.
Say: 'Who can intervene on your behalf withAllah if it is His will to
do you harmor good?Allah is cognizant of all your actions.'
Nay, you thought theApostle and the believers would never return
to their people; and this was made fair—seeming in your hearts. You
harboured evil thoughts and thus incurred damnation.
But if any disbelieves inAllah and His apostle, We have prepared a
blazing Fire for the disbelievers. Allah's is the sovereignty in the
