The fruit of the Zaqqum—tree shall be the sinner's food. Like dregs
of oil, it shall simmer in his belly like scalding water. (Avoice will cry):
'Seize him and drag him into the depth of Hell. Then pour out boiling
water over his head, (saying): “Taste this, illustrious and honourable
man! This is (the punishment) which you doubted.” '
As for the righteous, they shall be in peace together amidst gardens
and fountains, arrayed in rich silks and fine brocade. Yes, andWe shall
wed them to fair maidens with large lustrous eyes. Secure (against all
ills), they shall call for every kind of fruit; and, having died once, they
shall die no more. We will shield them from the scourge of Hell as a
bounty fromyour Lord. That will be the supreme triumph.
We have revealed this to you in your own tongue so that they may
take heed.Wait then; they (too) are waiting.

The revelation of the Book is from Allah, the Mighty
One, theAll—knowing.
Surely in the heavens and the earth there are signs for the
faithful; in your own creation, and in the beasts that are scattered far
and near, are signs for true believers; in the alternation of night and day,
in the sustenance Allah sends down from heaven with which He
revives the earth after its death, and in the marshalling of the winds, are
signs for men of understanding.
