Liar.'
And when he brought them the truth from Ourself, they said: 'Put
to death the sons of those who uphold this faith with him, and spare
their daughters.' Futile were the schemes of the unbelievers.
Pharaoh said: 'Leave me to kill Musa, then let him invoke his
Lord! I fear that he will change your religion or cause mischief in the
land.'
Musa said: 'I take refuge in my Lord and in your Lord from every
proudmanwho denies the Day of Reckoning.'
But one of Pharaoh's kinsmen, who in secret was a true believer,
said: "Would you kill a man merely because he says: "My Lord is
Allah? " He has brought you clear signs from your Lord. If he is lying,
may his lie be on his head, but if he is speaking the truth, a part at least
of what he threatens will smite you. Allah does not guide the lying
transgressor.- Yours is the dominion today, being the masters in the
land. But whowill save us fromAllah's wrathwhen it falls upon us?'
Pharaoh said: 'I do not show you except what I see. Nor will I
guide you except to the right path.'
He who was a true believer said: 'I fear for you, my people, the like
of that which overtook the factions: like the fate of the people of Nuh,
Aad, and Thamoud, and those that came after them. Allah does not
seek towrongHis servants.
'And, my people, I fear for you the day when men will cry out to
one another, when you will turn back and flee, with none to protect
you from Allah. He whom Allah leaves in error shall find none to
