He causes the night to pass into the day and the day into the night.
He has forced the sun and the moon into His service, each running for
an appointed term. Such is Allah, your Lord. His is the sovereignty.
Those whomyou invoke besides Himhave power over nothing. If you
pray to them they cannot hear you, and even if they hear you they
cannot answer you. On the day of Resurrection they will reject your
associating others with Allah. None can tell you (the truth) like the
One who isAll-Knowing.
Men, it is you who stand in need of Allah. He is All-sufficient and
Glorious. He can destroy you if He will and replace you with a new
creation; this is no difficult thing forAllah.
No (soul) shall bear another's burden. If a laden (soul) cries out for
help, nothing of (its burden) will be carried even by a relative.
You shall admonish none but those who fear their Lord though
they cannot see Him, and are steadfast in prayer. He that purifies
himself has much to gain. ToAllah shall all things return.
The blind and the seeing are not alike, nor are the darkness and the
light. The shade and the heat are not alike, nor are the living and the
dead. Allah can cause whom He will to hear Him, but you cannot
make those who are in their graves hear you.
You are but a warner. We have sent you with the truth as bearer of
good news and as a warner; for there is no nation which did not have a
warner. If they disbelieve you, know that those who have gone before
them also disbelieved. Their apostles came to them with clear signs,
with scriptures, and with the light-giving Book. But in the end I smote
