insurmountable obstruction.
It was He who created man from water and gave him kindred of
blood and of marriage.Your Lord isAll-powerful.
Yet the unbelievers worship that which can neither help nor harm
them. Surely the unbeliever is a helper (of evil) against his Lord.
We have sent you only to proclaim good news and to give warning.
Say: 'I demand of you no recompense for this except that he who will
may take (the right) path to his Lord.'
Put your trust in the Living One who never dies. Celebrate His
praise: He sufficiently knows all His servants' sins. He it is who in six
days created the heavens and the earth and all that lies between them,
and then ascended His throne. He is the Lord of Mercy.Ask those who
know, concerningHim.
When it is said to them: 'Prostrate yourselves before the Merciful',
they ask: 'Who is the Merciful? Would you have us worship whatever
you impose on us?'And this adds to their aversion.
Blessed be He who decked the sky with constellations and set in it a
lamp and a shining moon. He makes the night and day follow each
other: a sign to those whowould take heed and desire to render thanks.
The true servants of the Merciful are those who walk humbly on the
earth, and when the ignorant address them they say: 'Peace! ' ; who
pass the night standing and on their kness in adoration of their Lord;
who say: 'Lord, ward off from us the punishment of Hell, for its
punishment is everlasting: an evil dwelling and an evil resting-place';
who when they spend are neither extravagant nor niggardly, but keep
