and dust.' they say, 'shall we be raised to life? This we have been
promised before, we and our fathers. It is but (one) of the ancients'
fictitious tales.'
Say: 'Whose is the earth and all that It contains? (Tell me) if you
know the truth.'
'Allah's,' theywill reply.
Say: 'Thenwill you not take heed?'
Say: 'Who is the Lord of the seven heavens, and of the Glorious
Throne?'
'Allah,' theywill reply.
Say: 'Will you keep fromevil, then?'
Say: 'In whose hands is the sovereignty of all things, protecting all,
while against Him there is no protection? Tell me, if you know the
truth.'
'InAllah's,' theywill reply.
Say: 'How then can you be so bewitched?'
Nay,We have revealed to them the truth, but they are liars.
Never has Allah begotten a son, nor is there any other god besides
Him. Were this otherwise, each god would govern his own creation,
each holding himself above the other. Exalted be Allah above their
falsehoods!
He is the Knower alike of the visible and the invisible. Exalted be
He above the gods they associate withHim!
Say: ‘Lord, ifYou let me witness that against which they are warned,
do not put me among this wrongdoing people.' Indeed, We have power
