19:64
He enjoined prayer and almsgiving on his people, and his Lord was
pleasedwith him.
And of Idris: he, too, was a man of truth and a prophet, whom we
honoured and exalted.
These are the men to whom Allah has been gracious; the prophets
from among the descendants ofAdam and of those whomWe carried in
the Ark with Nuh; the descendants of Ibrahim, of Israel, and of those
whom We have guided and chosen. For when the revelations of the
Merciful were recited to them, they fell down on their knees in tears
and adoration.
But the generations who succeeded themneglected their prayers and
followed lusts. These shall assuredly be lost. But those that repent and
embrace the Faith and dowhat is right shall be admitted to Paradise and
shall not be wronged in any way. They shall enter the Gardens of Eden,
which the Merciful has promised His servants in the unseen. His
promise shall be fulfilled.
There they shall hear no idle talk, but only the voice of peace. And
there they shall be given their sustenance morning and evening. Such
is the Paradise whichwe shall give the righteous to inherit.
We (the angels) do not descend from Heaven save at the bidding of
your Lord. To Him belongs what is before us and behind us, and all that
lies between.
Your Lord does not forget. He is the Lord of the heavens and earth
and all that is between them. He is the Lord of the heavens and the
earth.WorshipHim then and be patient InHis service.
