We have bestowed blessings onAdam's children and carried them by
land and sea. We have provided them with good things and exalted
themabovemany of Our creatures.
The day will surely come when We shall summon every nation with
its Imam. Those who are given their books in their right hands will read
their recorded doings, and shall not in the least be wronged. But those
who have been blind in this life, shall be blind in the life to come and go
farther astray.
They sought to entice you from Our revelations, hoping that you
might invent something else in Our name, and thus become their
trusted friend. Indeed, had We not strengthened your faith you might
have made some compromise with them, and thus tasted a punishment
in this life and in the next. Then you should have found none to protect
you (fromOur wrath).
They sought to provoke you and thus drive you out of the land. Had
they succeeded, they would have survived your departure only for a
little while.
Such was Our way with the apostles whomWe sent before you. You
shall find no change inOur way.
Keep up your prayer at the decline of the sun till the darkness of the
night and (keep) the recital of the Quran at dawn. Surely the recital of
the Quran at dawn is witnessed. Pray during the latter part of the night,
an additional duty (for which) your Lord may exalt you to a position of
praise and glory.
Say: 'Lord, grant me a goodly entrance and a goodly exit, and sustain
