a sin shall be punished only for it. None shall be wronged.
Say: 'My Lord has guided me to a straight path, to an upright religion,
to the faith of the upright Ibrahim, whowas no polytheist.'
Say: 'My prayers and my devotions, my life and my death, are all for
Allah, Lord of the Creation: He has no partner. Thus I am commanded,
being the first of theMuslims.'
Say: 'Should I seek any butAllah for my God, when He is the Lord of
all things? Eachman shall reap the fruits of his own deeds: no soul shall
bear another's burden. In the end you shall all return to your Lord, and
He will informyou about that inwhich you differed.'
He has made you successors in the world and exalted some of you in
rank above others, so that He might prove you with His gifts. Swift is
your Lord in retribution; yet He is Forgiving, Merciful.

lif lammim sad. (This) Book is revealed to you; let your heart

not be troubled about it. It is revealed to you that you may
therebywarn the unbelievers and admonish the faithful.
Observe that which is brought down to you fromyour Lord and do not
followother masters besides Him. But you seldom take warning.
How many a town have We laid in ruin! In the night Our scourge fell
